Autumn Stroll

autumn unchained every tree voice
it is leaves’ turn to be different
a unique resounding death
at one end of the rainbow

white statues seem to awake
their smile unravels and trembles
shadows almost touch each other
silence is pregnant with unspoken words

people’s footsteps are jarring out of tune
wheat seeds are spread for city pigeons
a child kneels on the pavement
drawing a smiling charcoal sun

each day the same old lady passes by
unwillingly touching her heart
